The UP NEET UG Counselling 2023 registration process is commencing today, conducted by the Director General of Medical Education and Training Uttar Pradesh (DGME). Aspiring candidates seeking admission to MBBS or BDS programs in Uttar Pradesh can register online through the official website, upneet.gov.in. The registration window opens on July 25 and closes on July 28. To participate in the counseling round, candidates must pay a registration fee of Rs 2000 online via the official website.

For seat allotment, candidates are required to deposit Rs 30,000 as security for government state quota seats, Rs 2 lakh for seats in private medical colleges, and Rs 1 lakh for seats in private dental colleges. Once the fee is paid, and original documents are verified online, applicants can proceed to fill out the choice form. The online choice-filling is scheduled to take place between July 31 and August 3, and the merit list will be published on July 29. The seat allocation results will be disclosed on August 3 or 4, and between August 5 and August 8, candidates can download their allocation letters.

To register for UP NEET UG Counselling 2023, candidates should follow these steps:

Step 1: Visit the DGME's official website at dgme.up.gov.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, select the UP NEET UG 2023 Counselling link.

Step 3: Enter the required credentials for registration and click "Submit."

Step 4: Complete the UP NEET UG 2023 Counselling application form and pay the application fee.

Step 5: Click "Submit" to save the form.

Step 6: Keep a printed copy of the UP NEET UG 2023 Counselling application form for future reference.

This year, there are a total of 9,078 seats available for the MBBS program and 2,270 seats for the BDS program in Uttar Pradesh. Out of the BDS seats, 2,200 are in private dental colleges, while 70 seats are allocated to the dental faculty at King George’s Medical University in Lucknow. The counseling process will consist of three rounds, with a mop-up or open round as the third round, to fill any remaining vacancies after the first two rounds of counseling.
