Educational Subsidies and Teacher Rehiring

In another progressive decision, the cabinet resolved to provide subsidies to educational institutions to rehire 2,254 teachers, whose services were terminated earlier. This decision comes in compliance with Supreme Court orders to reinstate these educators, with initial absorption of 40 teachers and the remaining hired on an honorarium basis. Key details include:

  • Teacher Rehiring Details:
    • Intermediate Teachers: Monthly honorarium of Rs 30,000
    • High School Teachers: Monthly honorarium of Rs 20,000

Resolution on Madrasa Modernisation Scheme

Additionally, the state government has decided to discontinue the honorarium previously extended to 'modern' teachers under the Centre’s Madrasa Modernisation Scheme, which had faced irregularities in salary disbursement since 2017. This decision aims to streamline financial disbursements and ensure consistency in salary payments moving forward.
