The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has initiated the evaluation process for the intermediate and high school answer papers across the state. This crucial step marks progress towards the declaration of results for the board examinations conducted earlier this year.
UP Board Exams 2024: Assessment of More Than 3 Crore Answer Sheets Commences Today

Key Details:

  • Commencement of Evaluation: The evaluation process commenced on March 16 and will conclude by March 31, ensuring completion within thirteen working days.
  • Holi Break: In observance of the Holi festival, no evaluation work will be conducted between March 24 and March 26. However, the evaluation procedure must still be completed within the stipulated timeframe.
  • Examiner Details: A total of 147,097 examiners have been appointed to evaluate 3.01 crore answer sheets, with separate teams assigned for high school and intermediate examinations.
  • Evaluation Centres: 131 evaluation centres have been established for high school answer sheets, 116 for intermediate answer sheets, and 13 mixed evaluation centres.
  • Enrollment Statistics: Over 55.25 lakh candidates appeared for the board exams in 2024, with approximately 29.47 lakh students for high school and 25.77 lakh for intermediate examinations.
  • Progress Sheet Distribution: Education officers have been instructed to involve parents in the distribution of progress sheets, ensuring transparency and parental involvement in the assessment process.
  • Results Expectation: While the results are anticipated to be announced by the last week of April, progress sheets will be distributed in government/recognized schools based on annual examination and evaluation in the academic session 2023-24.
  • Use of Technology: Secretary Shukla emphasized leveraging technology to prevent cheating and unfair practices, warning against the circulation of question papers on platforms like WhatsApp.
