UP Board 2024 Result Update: Evaluation Process Paused for Three Days After Over 80% Copies Checked

The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council (UPMSP) has initiated the process of preparing for the release of the results of the 10th and 12th board exams for the year 2024. The evaluation of answer copies for both high school and intermediate examinations has commenced.

The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council (UPMSP) has initiated the process of preparing for the release of the results of the 10th and 12th board exams for the year 2024. The evaluation of answer copies for both high school and intermediate examinations has commenced. As of now, the evaluation of 83.46 per cent of the copies of the UP board examinations has been completed. The evaluation of a total of 3,01,17,723 copies of high school and intermediate exams is expected to be completed by March 31. Currently, 95,48,940 copies have been evaluated.

The evaluation process is scheduled to span 13 working days from March 16 to 31. However, there will be no evaluation work from March 24 to March 26 due to the festival of Holi. This year, a total of 94,802 examiners have been appointed to evaluate 1.76 crore answer sheets for the high school examinations, while 52,295 examiners have been appointed to evaluate 1.25 crore answer sheets for the intermediate examinations. This means approximately 1,47,097 examiners have been appointed to evaluate a total of 3.01 crore answer sheets.

For the evaluation of high school answer sheets, 131 evaluation centers have been set up, and 116 evaluation centers have been established for the evaluation of intermediate answer sheets. Out of the total 260 evaluation centers, 83 are government and 177 are non-government aided secondary schools serving as evaluation centers. The UP 10th and 12th examinations for the year 2024 were conducted between February 22 and March 9.

UP Board Secretary Dibya Kant Shukla had reported that a total of 3,24,008 candidates did not appear for the examination. Among them, 1,84,986 candidates left the examination for high school, and 1,39,022 registered candidates did not take the intermediate exam. In total, 55,25,308 candidates had registered for the 10th and 12th board exams in UP. Out of these, 29,99,507 candidates were registered for the high school exam, while 25,25,801 candidates were registered for the intermediate exam.
