RBI Grade B Salary Structure

Successful candidates entering Grade B at the RBI commence with a starting basic pay of Rs 55,200 per month, falling within the pay scale of Rs. 55,200-2850(9)-80850-EB-2850 (2) – 86550-3300(4)-99750 (16 years). Presently, the monthly salary for RBI Grade B Officers amounts to approximately Rs 1,08,404. In addition to the basic pay, candidates receive various allowances including dearness allowance, local allowance, house rent allowance, family allowance, and grade allowance. The initial monthly gross payment (excluding HRA) stands at approximately Rs. 1,16,914. In cases where staff quarters are not provided, a house rent allowance of 15 percent of the basic salary is granted.

RBI Grade B Career Prospects

Upon selection, candidates undergo a probationary period lasting two years, extendable up to a maximum of four years as per RBI regulations. Furthermore, selected individuals may be posted and transferred to various locations across India.
