The University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) result for 2023 is scheduled to be released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) between July 26 and July 27, as confirmed by UGC chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar. Once the results are out, candidates who appeared for the exam can check their scores on the official NTA website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in. To access the results, they will need to provide their application number and date of birth.

The answer key for the UGC NET June exam was previously released on July 6. During this phase, candidates had the opportunity to raise objections against the answer key. Based on the challenges received, the final answer key and result will be published. Approximately 6,39,069 candidates are eagerly awaiting their exam results.

NTA has already provided the answer key along with the recorded responses and phase-wise question paper of the candidates. This allowed applicants to calculate their test scores in advance, based on the marking scheme of UGC NET. Each question carries two marks, and there is no negative marking for wrong responses. Unanswered or unattempted questions will not result in any marks deduction. In the case of a question with multiple correct answers or deemed incorrect, only candidates who attempted the question and selected one of the correct answers will be awarded marks, according to NTA.

UGC NET is a national-level exam held twice a year. The June session of the exam took place from June 13 to June 17 and from June 19 to June 22, 2023. It was conducted in 18 shifts across 181 cities in India. Qualifying candidates from the UGC NET June 2023 session will be eligible for assistant professor positions and junior research fellowships in universities and higher education institutions throughout the country. NTA aims to announce the results by July 26 or 27 and will provide updates if there are any changes to the schedule.
