Two Individuals Arrested In Gujarat For Making Fake Marksheets For 50 Students

On Saturday, two individuals were apprehended in Gujarat's Mehsana district for their involvement in a forgery scheme concerning marksheets of 50 students, some of whom utilized the counterfeit documents to secure employment, according to authorities. The main orchestrator, Kuldeep Parmar, operated a photocopy shop where he forged marksheets for Class 10, Class 12, and Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), among other credentials, charging Rs 1,500 per document. The Mehsana Local Crime Branch, in a statement, revealed that the accused had tampered with educational records for 50 students, enabling several of them to obtain jobs in private companies.

The 23-year-old Parmar had rented a shop where he utilized Adobe Photoshop software and a printer-cum-scanner to alter names on marksheets, enhancing their scores. Within a span of only two months, he produced counterfeit marksheets for 50 students. A few individuals were able to secure positions in private firms based on the duplicate ITI marksheets fabricated by Parmar, as stated by the crime branch. Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a raid on the shop and apprehended Parmar and his accomplice, Vijaysinh Laxmanshin, on Saturday. A case has been registered against the duo under several sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 465 (forgery), 468 (forgery for the purpose of cheating), and 471 (using fake documents as genuine).
