TS TET 2023 Notification Released, Registration Begins Tomorrow

The TS TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) 2023 notification has been officially released. The online application process is set to begin on August 2 and will continue until August 16. As for the examination schedule, both TET paper 1 and paper 2 will be conducted on September 15, and the results will be declared on September 27. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the test through the website tstet.cgg.gov.in. It's important to note that candidates with DED (Diploma in Education) and BED (Bachelor of Education) qualifications are eligible to apply for paper-1, whereas only BED candidates can apply for paper-2.

The exam timings for paper 1 are from 9.30 AM to 12 PM, while paper 2 will take place from 2.30 PM to 5 PM. As for the application fee, candidates are required to pay Rs. 400. The decision to conduct TS TET 2023 was approved at a recent cabinet sub-committee meeting, giving candidates 45 days of preparation time for the examination.

In the state, there are approximately 4.5 lakh BED candidates and 1.5 lakh DED candidates eligible to appear for TS TET 2023. For those interested in applying, here is a step-by-step guide:

How to Apply for TS TET 2023:

  1. Go to the official website of TS TET: tstet.cgg.gov.in.
  2. Click on the TS TET 2023 registration link on the homepage.
  3. Provide the required credentials for sign up.
  4. Fill in the application form with all the necessary information.
  5. Make the payment of the application fee.
  6. Submit the application form.
  7. Save and download the acknowledgment form for future reference.

In the past, only BED candidates had the opportunity to write TET paper 2, while DED candidates could write TET paper 1. However, last year's TET exam saw a change, allowing BED candidates to also write TET paper 1. This alteration was implemented in accordance with the directives of the National Teacher Education Council. Now, BED candidates will be allowed to write both papers, providing them with an opportunity to compete for the posts of Secondary Grade Teachers (SGT) teaching classes 1 to 5.

The previous TS TET certification had a validity of seven years, but this has been updated, and now the certification is valid for a lifetime. It is important to note that TS TET is expected to be held once every six months, instead of being conducted annually.
