TN SSLC 10th Result 2023: Pass Percentage Lower Than Pre-pandemic, Perlambur Top-performing District

In the Tamil Nadu SSLC or Class 10th Result of 2023, a total of 9,14,320 students appeared for the exam. Out of this number, 8,35,614 students successfully cleared the exam, resulting in a pass percentage of 91.39%. Among the candidates, 4,59,303 were boys, and 4,04,904 of them passed, accounting for an 88.16% pass percentage. On the other hand, 4,55,017 girls appeared for the exam, with 4,30,710 of them successfully clearing it, leading to an impressive pass percentage of 94.66%.
The pass percentage for this year's Tamil Nadu SSLC exam has increased compared to last year's 90.07%. However, it is worth noting that in 2022, the pass percentage was the lowest in the past five years. In both 2021 and 2020, the Tamil Nadu Board did not conduct exams and instead declared results based on alternative assessment methods. While the pass percentage in 2023 is an improvement, it remains lower than the pre-pandemic times.

Students who took the Tamil Nadu Board exams can check their results on the official websites of TNDGE, namely dge.tn.gov.in and tnresults.nic.in. Additionally, the results will be available on dge1.tn.nic.in, apply1.tndge.org, dge2.tn.nic.in, and apply1.tndge.org, as well as the National Informatics Centres (NIC) website. The board will also announce the +1 or Class 11 results today at 2 PM.

The Tamil Nadu SSLC exams were conducted from April 6 to April 20, 2023. To pass the exams, students must score a minimum of 35 marks out of 100 in each subject, including compartmental subjects. The Tamil Nadu board offers a re-evaluation process for candidates who wish to have their answer sheets reviewed for any errors. The applications for re-evaluation will be available on the official website after the board results are announced. Additionally, the board conducts compartment exams for students who did not pass on their first attempt.
Students should not only download their mark sheets but also ensure that the details mentioned on them are correct. The Class 10 certificate serves as proof of birth and academic progress. It includes the student's name, personal details, exam dates, school name, total marks, percentage and grade calculation, and pass/fail status.
