The Directorate of Medical Education and Research in Tamil Nadu has announced the counselling schedule for the TN National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2023. The registration, payment, choice filling, and locking process will commence from July 25 and end on July 31 at 5 pm. All activities will be conducted through the official website tnmedicalselection.net. Seat allotment will begin on August 1, and the results will be declared on August 3. Candidates can download the provisional allotment order from August 4 to 8, and the last date for joining is August 8.

According to the official notice, candidates participating in the online choice filling for MBBS/BDS Degree Courses must pay a non-refundable Registration Fee of Rs.500/- for Government Quota and Rs.1000/- for Management Quota.

For the government quota, NEET marks required for ranks 1 to 25856 range from 720 to 107, while for the management quota, the required marks for ranks 1 to 13179 are 715 to 107.

If candidates fail to lock their choices by July 31, 5 PM, the system will automatically lock their selections. Candidates have the option to fill choices for all the seats they have applied to, whether in the Government or Management quota. They are encouraged to carefully analyze all available choices and prioritize them according to their preferences.

Candidates can edit their choices multiple times before locking them. However, once locked, they will not be allowed to make further changes. Hence, candidates are urged to review their choices and preference order thoroughly before finalizing their selections.

Admission to MBBS and BDS degree courses will be based on rank and the rule of reservation. Allotted candidates must download their provisional allotment order and join the respective medical college by the specified date and time mentioned in the order.
