Those who have got D.L.D. from NIOS will not get a chance in teacher recruitment

Those who have DLed from NIOS in Uttarakhand will not get a chance to recruit teachers running in government schools. Education Minister Arvind Pandey has given instructions to the officers of the department. The minister has said that the recently issued mandate will be revised for this.  The education minister held a meeting of officials of the education department at the secretariat on Monday. After the meeting, the Education Minister said that it is the responsibility of the government to appoint the youths, who are being trained by DIET (District Education and Training Institutes).

Those who have done D.El.D from the diets of the state will be appointed, while those who have been D.Ed from NIOS will not be included in the teacher recruitment. However, those who have DL’d from other states of the state will also be included in this teacher recruitment.

Diet DLED Union met Education Minister Pawan, Secretary Shweta Rajpal, Himanshu Joshi, Prakash Rani and Shubham Pant, President of Diet DLED Union, on Monday met the Education Minister in the Secretariat and the mandate to include teachers from NIOS for DLAD recruitment Demanded to be canceled. On which the Education Minister assured the delegation of necessary action.
DLED was recently recognized by NCTE from NIOS
Those pursuing an 18-month D.El.D. (Diploma in Elementary Education) course from NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) were recognized across the country. The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), in recognition of this, wrote to the Chief Secretaries of all states in this regard.

Actually, the candidates of Uttarakhand had approached NCTE in this regard. Those doing the DLED TET from NIOS had demanded from NCTE that they should be given the opportunity to apply for teacher recruitment in their state, like Bihar.

After a letter to the Chief Secretary of the NCTE in this regard, the government recently issued a mandate saying that the NIOS will also be given the opportunity to apply for this teacher recruitment, considering those eligible for the D.L.D.
