Telangana schools timing changed, half day from today | Check new timings here
The government of Telangana has mandated that all schools in the state reduce their operating hours until the end of the current academic year. According to the directive, half-day sessions will begin on March 15 and run until April 24.
This applies to all schools, including primary, upper primary, and high schools, regardless of whether they are government, government-aided, or privately managed. The Director of School Education for Telangana has stated that the new school hours will be from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm, with mid-day meals distributed at 12:30 pm.
However, special classes for Class 10 board exam candidates will continue. These classes will be held to prepare students for the SSC Public Examination scheduled for April 2023. Schools that serve as SSC Examination Centers will operate from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The order instructs all Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers in the state to inform schools under all management types of these requirements and ensure compliance.
