Tamil Nadu Class 12th Results 2023: Registrations Begins For Supplementary Exams

The Tamil Nadu Board of Higher Secondary Examinations (HSE) has declared the results for class 12th. This year, over 8 lakh students appeared for the examination which was conducted between March 13 to April 3. The results can be accessed from the official websites of the Tamil Nadu board, dge.tn.gov.in and tnresults.nic.in. Along with the results, the board has also announced the commencement of the registration process for the supplementary examination, which will be held for students who have failed in one or more subjects. The last date to register for the supplementary examination is May 15, 2023. Students are advised to complete the application process and submit the required fees as soon as possible. The board will issue a new admit card and a new examination center to the students appearing for the supplementary examination. Guidelines for the supplementary examination will be released after the registration deadline is completed.
The pass percentage for the Tamil Nadu Board Class 12 examination in 2023 was 94.03%, higher than the previous year's pass percentage of 93.76%. The girls outperformed boys, with a pass percentage of 96.38% for girls and 91.45% for boys. Kanyakumari recorded the highest pass percentage at 97.05%, while Puducherry received the lowest pass rate of 93.45%. The pass percentage for the Science stream was 96.32%, followed by Commerce at 91.63%, Arts at 81.89%, and Vocational at 82.11%.
If the candidates are not satisfied with their results, they can opt for a re-evaluation of their answer sheets. The registration for the re-evaluation process will begin on May 15 and conclude on May 21, 2023. Students must achieve a minimum score of 35 out of 100 in each subject to pass the Tamil Nadu Board Class 12 examination in 2023. Additionally, students who secure a score of 90% or higher will be awarded an A1 grade, while those who score between 81% and 90% will receive an A2 grade. The National Informatics Centers (NIC) will make the HSC results accessible to everyone.
