Staff Selection Commission Releases Notification For MTS 2023; Deets Inside
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has recently made an announcement regarding the online applications for the Multi-Tasking (non-technical) and Havildar (CBIC and CBN) Exam 2023. This presents a valuable opportunity for individuals seeking government employment in India. The registration process will remain open until July 21, 2023, at 11:00 p.m.
The examination will include vacancies for the role of Havildar within the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and the Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN), both falling under the revenue department of the Ministry of Finance. These positions are classified as non-ministerial and adhere to the pay level structure established by the 7th Pay Commission.
There are approximately 1198 vacancies available for Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) and 360 vacancies for Havildar in CBIC and CBN.
Regarding the age limit, as of July 1, 2023, candidates should be between 18 and 25 years old for MTS and Havildar in CBN. For Havildar in CBIC, candidates should be between 18 and 27 years old. Some relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for certain categories: SC/ST candidates have a relaxation of 5 years, OBC candidates have a relaxation of 3 years, PwBD (unreserved) candidates have a relaxation of 10 years, PwBD (SC/ST) candidates have a relaxation of 15 years, and PwBD (OBC) candidates have a relaxation of 13 years. To be eligible for these positions, applicants must have passed the Matriculation Examination or an equivalent qualification from a recognized board.
The application fee for this exam is Rs 100, with an exemption for women candidates and applicants belonging to the categories of SC, ST, PwBD, and ESM. The fee can be paid online or in cash by generating an SBI Challan at SBI branches.
To apply for the exam, candidates are required to visit the official SSC website at https://ssc.nic.in/ and proceed with the registration and login process. After logging in, they should click on the "Apply" option under the Multi-Tasking Staff Examination 2023 category.
