The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is set to announce the SSC MTS Result 2023 on its official website - ssc.nic.in. The recruitment process involved a single-tier computer-based test (CBT) conducted in 15 languages across the country. This test aimed to fill vacancies for Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff (in Pay Level-1 as per Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission) and Havaldar (in Pay Level-1 as per Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission) posts in various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India, as well as in various Constitutional Bodies/ Statutory Bodies/ Tribunals, etc., in different States/ Union Territories.

The SSC MTS Result 2023 is categorized under two age groups:

Age Group I:

  • Age Limit: 18-25 years (candidates born between January 2, 1998, and January 1, 2005)

Age Group II:

  • Age Limit: 18-27 years (candidates born between January 2, 1996, and January 1, 2005)

State-wise cut-off marks for SSC MTS 2023 will be available for download in PDF format. As the vacancies are distributed among the two age groups, the Commission will establish separate cut-offs for each age group, along with category-wise and State/ UT-wise cut-offs for the Computer-Based Examination (CBE). Eligible candidates who qualify for both age groups will have their vacancies filled in the 18-25 years age group first.

The selection process involves shortlisting candidates based on their performance in Session-2 of the CBE for both MTS and Havaldar posts. For Havaldar posts, candidates will be shortlisted in a ratio of 1:5 (vacancies: candidates) for Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST), and their performance in Session-2 of CBE will also be considered.

Candidates must achieve the minimum qualifying marks to move forward in the selection process:

  • General Category: 30% minimum qualifying percentage
  • OBC/ EWS Category: 25% minimum qualifying percentage
  • SC/ST/Others Category: 20% minimum qualifying percentage

Once shortlisted, candidates need to attend Document Verification with the necessary photocopies and original documents, including their Matriculation/ Secondary Certificate, Caste/ Category Certificate, Educational Qualifications Marksheet/Certificates, Persons with Disabilities Certificate (if applicable), Relevant Certificate for age relaxation, No Objection Certificate, and other required documents.

The final selection and allocation of Post-cum-States/ UTs/ CCAs will be based on candidates' performance in Session-II of CBE, their preference for Post-cum-States/ UTs/ CCAs submitted in the online Application Form, and their age group. The Regional Offices of the Commission will utilize a standard methodology to allocate Ministries/ Departments/ Offices in the allocated States/ UTs for the post of MTS.
