Preventing Fraud Through Live Photo Uploads

SSC has implemented the live photo uploading feature to mitigate fraud associated with edited photos in recruitment examinations. Candidates are required to upload live photos in an environment with adequate lighting and a plain background. Additionally, individuals should refrain from wearing caps, masks, or glasses while capturing live photos.

Simplified Application Process

Previously, applicants were instructed that the photo should not be older than three months from the release date of the recruitment notification. However, SSC lacked a mechanism to verify the age of the photo accurately. With the introduction of live photo uploading, candidates will no longer need to repeatedly obtain new photos. They can conveniently upload live photos through the 'My SSC' app whenever they apply for SSC examinations.

Launch of New SSC Website

In addition to the mobile app, SSC recently unveiled a new website, ssc.gov.in, on February 17, 2024. While the new website is operational, the existing website, ssc.nic.in, will remain accessible to candidates through a provided link.

Fresh OTR Registration

Candidates are advised to complete a fresh One Time Registration (OTR) on the new SSC website, https://ssc.gov.in/, as previous OTR registrations on the earlier version of the website, https://ssc.nic.in/, are no longer valid. Detailed instructions for OTR registration can be found under the 'For Candidates > Special Instructions > Instructions for filling One Time Registration (OTR)' section on the website.

SSC remains committed to enhancing the efficiency and transparency of the recruitment process, providing candidates with a seamless experience.
