School Health Service in MCD 'Discontinued', Alleges Delhi BJP

On Saturday, the Delhi BJP raised concerns about the discontinuation of the school health service within the civic body under the leadership of AAP, alleging that this move was leading to neglect of underprivileged students. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) did not immediately respond to these allegations.

During a joint press conference on Saturday, key figures including Delhi BJP's General Secretary and Councilor Kamaljeet Sehrawat, spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor, and Leader of Opposition in MCD Raja Iqbal Singh asserted that the special school health services provided by the corporation had been terminated and integrated into the general health services.

Singh criticized the Arvind Kejriwal government and Mayor Shelly Oberoi for their claims of enhancing student facilities, asserting that under AAP's administration, the educational department within MCD had deteriorated to the extent that both students and teachers were grappling with arbitrary directives from municipal leaders and officials. It's worth noting that the AAP currently holds authority in the MCD following their victory in the civic polls held on December 4th of the previous year.
