SCERT to publish monthly magazine to increase understanding of students

Employment News-The State Council of Educational Research and Training is preparing to publish a monthly magazine. For this, the text material has been sought from the teachers. This course material will be subject wise. It will include material that enhances the understanding of children in subjects like Hindi, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science.

Capacity building, entertainment and skill development of students

In a letter written by Basic Education Officer Praveen Kumar Tiwari to all Block Education Officers, it has been said that a monthly magazine is proposed to be published in the year 2021-22. In the said monthly magazine, material will be published keeping in mind the learning achievement of the students based on the class wise syllabus of primary and upper primary level. The purpose of publication of this magazine is to enhance the capacity, entertainment and skill development of the students. This course material will have to be made available compulsorily by the 10th of every month.

Text material created by children and composed for children will be included

In the letter written by BSA, it has been said that the magazine will include questions and text material related to Hindi, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Art, Sanskrit and Vedic Mathematics. The unread passages will be published in Hindi and in English with pictures. Stories, poems, experiments, interviews and pictures created by children and composed for children can also become the subject matter of this magazine. Apart from this, columns like puzzle, guess the question, find the way, tell the difference in the picture will also be included. In the manual regarding sending the material, some rules have been fixed for sending the material to SCERT Lucknow.

This content should be informative, entertaining. The compositions should be self composed. The questions should be of higher order thinking and assess the understanding of the subject. The material to be sent should be in Kriti Dev 010 font and English content in Times New Roman font 12. The subject material to be sent will have to be given in PDM along with Microsoft Word. Any writer will give his work only once in three months. This rule is so that more and more children and teachers can get opportunities. This course material must be available by the 10th of every month.
