Rajasthan Govt to Set up New Medical University in Jodhpur

In an official statement released on Saturday, it was announced that the Rajasthan government is set to establish a medical university in Jodhpur. The Chief Minister, Ashok Gehlot, had previously revealed plans to open the Marwar Medical University during this year's budget speech. To commence the project, an initial allocation of Rs 35 crore has been approved for the first phase of development. Furthermore, an additional budget provision has been agreed upon after the utilization of this amount.
The establishment of the university will occur in three phases, with a total expenditure of Rs 499.86 crore. Alongside this exciting initiative, Chief Minister Gehlot has also given the green light to open a new homoeopathic college in Bharatpur. In support of the college's operation, 30 new positions have been authorized.
Additionally, the state government has allocated Rs 54.33 crore to provide scooties to 6,250 individuals with disabilities. This financial provision will facilitate the purchase of these scooties, which will be retrofitted to ensure that the users do not incur any additional expenses in the future.
