On Friday, Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra stated that the recently implemented National Education Policy was the result of careful consideration and aimed to promote the comprehensive development of students. Speaking at the third convocation of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Shekhawati University in Sikar, Mishra emphasized the policy's focus on ensuring students attain proficiency in all subjects to some extent. He also urged students to use their education to uplift society and the nation. Mishra highlighted that education is a cultural process that enhances an individual's knowledge and skills, transforming them into a civilised, cultured, and capable citizen. Furthermore, he called on universities to become centres of education that produce the country's best citizens. The institute's Vice Chancellor Bhagirath Singh noted that the university had commenced 17 employment-oriented courses during his address. The convocation witnessed the distribution of degrees among students who completed their academic sessions in 2018-19 and 2019-20. Additionally, 70 gold medals were awarded to students for their exceptional academic performance.
