Overview of the Scholarship Program
The Rajasthan government has introduced the Agriculture Department Girl Scholarship for the year 2025, aimed at encouraging female students pursuing agricultural studies from the 11th grade through to their PhD. The scholarship offers financial assistance ranging from ₹15,000 to ₹40,000 annually. This initiative is open to economically disadvantaged girls from both rural and urban areas who wish to take up agriculture as a subject after completing their 10th grade.
Application Process
Online applications for the Rajasthan Agriculture Department Girl Scholarship 2025 have commenced. Eligible female candidates can fill out the application form through the SSO portal. The deadline for submitting applications is set for January 31, 2026. Only students who are permanent residents of Rajasthan can apply for this scholarship, which is part of the state government's initiative to provide financial support to underprivileged students.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Agriculture Department Girl Scholarship 2025, applicants must be permanent residents of Rajasthan and enrolled in government or state-recognized schools, colleges, or universities.
Required Documents
Applicants must possess proof of residency in Rajasthan and their previous year's mark sheet. Additionally, they should have an Aadhaar card, bank account details, a passport-sized photograph, a mobile number, and an income certificate.
Benefits of the Scholarship
Students studying agriculture in senior secondary school will receive ₹15,000 per year for both 11th and 12th grades. Those enrolled in undergraduate programs such as horticulture, dairy, agricultural engineering, and food processing at Shri Karn Narendra Business Management College, Jobner, will receive ₹25,000 annually for their 4 or 5-year courses. For postgraduate studies in MSc Agriculture, students will also receive ₹25,000 per year for a 2-year program. Additionally, PhD students in agriculture can receive up to ₹40,000 per year for a maximum of 3 years.
How to Apply
To apply for the Agriculture Department Girl Scholarship 2025, students can visit the SSO portal or go to the nearest e-Mitra center to fill out the online application form. They need to log in to the SSO portal, click on the Raj Kisan option, verify their details through Jan Aadhar, fill in all required information accurately, upload necessary documents, and provide bank details. After completing the form, they should submit it and keep a printed copy for their records.
