Patna Schools Asked To Revise Timings Amid Rising Temperatures Across Bihar

The Meteorological department has issued a warning of intense heat in the coming days, prompting the Patna district administration to direct all schools in the capital city to revise their timings to prevent heatstroke among students. Guidelines have also been issued to ensure the safety of students.  The Patna district administration has issued an order prohibiting academic activities, including those in pre-schools and Anganwadi centers, after 11:45 am in all schools in the district. School authorities have been directed to reschedule their academic activities in compliance with the order, which will be effective from April 15. On Thursday, the temperature in Patna reached a high of 41.5 degrees Celsius, while Gaya and Rohtas recorded temperatures of 41.3 degrees Celsius and 41.2 degrees Celsius, respectively. Jamui registered a high of 40.8 degrees Celsius, Aurangabad 40.7 degrees Celsius, and Khagaria 40.6 degrees Celsius, according to the IMD.
