Odisha BSE Matric Results 2023: Cuttack, Jatgatsinghpur Best Performing Districts

The Odisha Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has finally released the eagerly awaited results of the Matriculation or annual High School Certificate (HSC) examination. A total of 5,21,444 candidates appeared for the state board examination in the year 2023, out of which 5,12,460 successfully passed the examination. The overall pass percentage stands at an impressive 96.19 percent. This year, the pass rate for girls is 97.05 percent, while for boys it is 95.75 percent.

The districts of Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur performed exceptionally well, both achieving a pass percentage of 97.99 percent. On the other hand, Malkangari district had the lowest pass percentage at 92.68 percent. Out of the total number of students who passed, 2,58,827 were girls and 2,53,633 were boys. The examination was conducted from March 10 to March 20, 2023, across 3218 centers throughout the state.

The results were officially announced by the School and Mass Education Minister, Pramila Mallik, at the Board's office in Cuttack on May 18 at 10 am. The Principal Secretary of the Mass Education Department, as well as the Board's President and Secretary, were present during the announcement. Jagatsinghpur district has the highest pass rate in the matric examination compared to other districts in the state, bringing joy to the students.

The topper of the examination is Sai Lipsa Pradhan, who secured an impressive 95 percent. Her ambition is to become a top administrative officer and serve the nation. Sai Lipsa Pradhan attributed her success to the strong support of her family and teachers. Minister Pramila Mallik stated on this occasion that a supplementary examination has been arranged this year. The government will decide in the near future whether the exam will be conducted in Summative 1, following the previous two-part format. The minister also mentioned that the results have shown improvement this year.

To assist students, the Board has established a control room, which will be operational for seven days. Students can contact the control room at 0671-2415460. The official website of the Board, www.bseodisha.ac.in, allows students to check their results by entering their roll number and date of birth. Alternatively, they can visit orissaresults.nic.in to access their results. The scoreboards can also be downloaded from the website. Additionally, students can receive their results via SMS by sending OR10Roll Number to 5676750.
