The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to commence the JEE Main Session 1 examination from January 27, 2024. The examination will be conducted on January 27, 29, 30, 31, and February 1. Here are the important details regarding the schedule and guidelines for the JEE Main 2024 exam:

JEE Main 2024 Exam Schedule:

  • JEE Main Paper 1 Exam Dates: January 27, 29, 30, 31, and February 1, 2024.
  • Exam Shifts:
    • First Shift: 9 AM to 12 PM
    • Second Shift: 3 PM to 6 PM

Reporting Time:

  • First Shift:
    • Entry in the Examination Centre: 7:30 to 8:30 AM
    • Instructions by the Invigilator: 8:30 to 8:50 AM
    • Candidate Login to Read Instructions: 8:50 AM
    • Commencement of JEE Main Exam: 9 AM
  • Second Shift:
    • Entry in the Examination Centre: 2 to 2:30 PM
    • Instructions by the Invigilator: 2:30 to 2:50 PM
    • Candidate Login to Read Instructions: 2:50 PM
    • Commencement of JEE Main Exam: 3 PM

Exam Day Guidelines:

  1. Candidates are advised to register through Digi Locker/ABC ID.
  2. Those not registered through Digi Locker/ABC ID or chose non-Aadhaar options need to report early for biometrics recording.
  3. Frisking and biometric attendance will be done after restroom breaks.
  4. Candidates should arrive at the exam center at least 2 hours before the exam.
  5. Entry into the exam center will not be allowed after the gate closing time.
  6. Candidates must carry a printout of their JEE Main hall ticket, a valid photo ID proof, and passport-size photographs.
  7. Electronic devices such as mobile phones, calculators, slide rules, log tables, printed or written material, bits of paper, pager, or any other device are not allowed.
  8. Blank paper sheets for rough work of A4 size will be provided, and candidates must write their name and roll number at the top of each sheet.
