NTA Issues Dress Code and Guidelines for NEET Re-Examination
Guidelines for NEET Re-Examination by NTA
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released important guidelines regarding the dress code for students participating in the NEET re-examination scheduled for June 21, 2026. These guidelines detail acceptable attire and specific rules for candidates wearing religious symbols, such as 'Kalava' (sacred thread), at the examination center. Additionally, instructions on the types of water bottles permitted inside the exam hall have been provided. Below are the key points from NTA's guidelines.
**NTA Guidelines for NEET Re-Examination**
* Candidates are allowed to bring a transparent water bottle into the examination hall.
* To protect their admit cards from rain, candidates may carry them in a transparent plastic pouch.
Candidates are permitted to wear items or symbols related to their faith (such as religious symbols, Kalava, turbans, hijabs, or similar items). However, they must arrive at the examination center well in advance to undergo thorough security checks.
* It is advisable to wear light clothing. However, if necessary, candidates may wear full-sleeved or woolen garments, provided they arrive early for security screening.
* It is recommended to wear sandals or low-heeled shoes. Candidates wearing high-heeled footwear may face additional security checks.
* Bringing any electronic devices, including mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth accessories, earphones, or communication devices, into the examination hall is strictly prohibited.
* Metal items, large belt buckles, heavy jewelry, and other accessories are not allowed in the examination hall.
* All candidates must undergo a mandatory screening process before entry. It is advised that candidates arrive on time to ensure a smooth security check. For more information, candidates can contact the NTA helpline.
