- Candidates must have completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% or 45% marks, or be pursuing a diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE 2002 norms, or hold a B.El.Ed (4-Year Course), or a Diploma in Education (Special Course, for 2 Years), or a B.Ed (1 Year), or a Diploma in Elementary Education (1 Year) to be eligible for the CTET Examination.

- Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree (with at least 45% or 50% marks) or be pursuing the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education/Diploma in Education/B.El.Ed/B.Sc.Ed/B.A Ed./B.Ed. to qualify for this CTET Examination.
