After bringing the system of examination twice a year for 10th-12th by the Central Board of Secondary Education, now examinations will be held twice a year in ninth and 11th also. Delhi Directorate of Education has asked all government, aided and private schools to conduct the examination twice for evaluation. Evaluation should be done from 50-50 per cent syllabus in both the sessions.

In the order issued by the Directorate of Education to the schools, it has been said that the academic session 2021-22 should be divided into two sessions. There should be mid-term examination in the first session and annual examination in the second session. The syllabus will be 50-50 per cent for both the semesters. The first session exam will be based on multiple choice questions in October and November. It will also be case based.

The duration of the exam will be of 90 minutes. In the second session, objective type questions, case based, short and long questions will be asked. This exam will be of two hours in February-March. The question paper will be prepared on CBSE pattern only. The scores of Internal Assessment, Practical Work, Listening and Speaking Assessment for both the sessions will be added to the final score.

The Directorate of Education has also sent information about the weightage of session based marks to the schools. It is on this basis that children have to be evaluated. It is to be known that a few months ago, due to the Corona epidemic, CBSE had announced a special evaluation scheme for the 10th and 12th examinations. The board has also halved the syllabus by dividing the academic session into two sections for both the classes.
