Employment News-Emphasis should be laid on adhering to academic norms and devising such curricula, so as to help in the holistic development of the students. This will enable them to compete at the national and international level. This was stated by the Director Education Prof. Rakesh Nanda says

The agenda of the meeting was presented by Dr. Prashant Bakshi. These included upgradation of fisheries unit to Department of Fisheries, institutionalization of Masters of Fisheries Science, implementation of ICAR general rules for PG and PhD programme, change in eligibility criteria.

In this, a discussion was held on the revision of the new curriculum syllabi of various degree programs for admission to the Masters program in Forestry (Forestry), finalizing the syllabus for admission to M.Sc. Emphasized on adhering to academic norms and designing curriculum that helps in the holistic development of the students. This will enable them to compete at the national and international level.
SCAST Jammu is the first university to adopt the Broad Subject Matter Area Committee's syllabus. Pro. Rakesh Nanda also advised all the faculty members to work hard and leave no stone unturned to maintain the quality standards in academic excellence of ScUst-Jammu. Dr. Satish Kumar and Rakesh Sharma were present on this occasion.
