NEST 2024 MSc Admission Registration Starts Tomorrow; Exam Scheduled for June 30

The National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2024 registration for admission to the five-year Integrated MSc programme offered by NISER Bhubaneswar and the University of Mumbai will commence from tomorrow, March 30. The exam, scheduled for June 30, will grant access to MSc programmes in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics.

The National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2024 registration for admission to the five-year Integrated MSc programme offered by NISER Bhubaneswar and the University of Mumbai will commence from tomorrow, March 30. The exam, scheduled for June 30, will grant access to MSc programmes in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics.

Key Details:

  • Exam Date and Shifts: The NEST 2024 exam is scheduled to be held on June 30 in two shifts: 9 am to 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm to 6 pm.
  • Result Declaration: Results will be declared on July 10.
  • Syllabus: The syllabus will be based on the rationalised syllabus of NCERT Class 11 and 12 textbooks.
  • Seat Availability: A total of 257 seats will be filled through the NEST 2024 scores.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must meet the following criteria to appear for the NEST entrance exam:

  • Passed the Class 12 board exam from any recognised education board in India in 2022 or 2023.
  • Candidates appearing for the Class 12 board exam in 2024 are also eligible.
  • Studied the science stream in Class 12.
  • Secured at least 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade in Class 12. SC, and ST students should have passed Class 12 with 55% in aggregate.
  • No age limit for appearing in the NEST 2024 examination.

Scholarship Details:

  • Scholarship recipients will be eligible to receive an annual scholarship of Rs 60,000 through the DISHA programme of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India.
  • Additionally, recipients will also receive a grant of Rs 20,000 per annum for summer internships.

Further Opportunities:

  • Top performers at NISER and UM-DAE CEBS, as well as those securing overall grades above a certain cut-off, will be eligible to appear directly for the interview for admission to the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) training school.
