NEET UG, PG 2023 Counselling Registration to Begin From July 15? Here's What We Know So Far

The registration process for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test PostGraduate (NEET PG) and Undergraduate (NEET UG) counselling is expected to commence from July 15. While preliminary media reports indicate this, there has been no official confirmation from the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) yet. The MCC will announce the counselling dates for NEET PG and UG 2023 on their official website, mcc.nic.in, once the schedule is publicly available.
NEET PG and UG scores will be utilized to determine admissions to postgraduate medical degrees under the 50% All India Quota (AIQ). Students who meet the AIQ standards will be eligible to participate in the counselling process. Additionally, NEET PG 2023 exam takers are encouraged to apply for state quota seats in the state where they currently reside.
On March 4, NEET PG 2023 was conducted, and the results were made available on March 14. States and union territories will compile category-wise merit lists for state quota seats based on their respective criteria and applicable rules. On June 16, the merit list for AIQ seats was released. To participate in NEET PG 2023 counselling, applicants who meet the AIQ seat qualifications must register on the MCC website. They need to provide their complete name, date of birth, NEET PG 2023 application number, security password, and other necessary details to obtain their login credentials.
For admission to AIQ or Central University, general category candidates are required to pay Rs 1,000, while SC and ST candidates must pay Rs 500. Candidates seeking admission to a deemed university must pay Rs 5,000. During the NEET PG counselling process, applicants can select a course and college based on their preferences and qualifications. They also have the option to apply to multiple colleges.
In 2023, there will be four rounds of NEET PG and UG counselling: Round 1, Round 2, mop-up round, and stray round. After the registration process, the MCC will announce the results of NEET PG seat allocation. Subsequently, students must report to their selected college within the designated timeframe.
