NEET UG 2024 Registration Deadline Pushed to March 16, Step-by-Step Application Guide

The registration window for NEET UG 2024, which was initially scheduled to close on March 9 at 9 pm, has been extended by the NTA in response to candidate representations. The new deadline for candidates to submit their NEET UG application fees 2024 is now March 16 until 10:50 pm. A notification released by NTA stated, “Registration for the online application forms of NEET UG 2024 has been ongoing since February 9, 2024. During this time, we have received representations from stakeholders regarding changes in NEET UG 2024 and the extension of the registration window.”

The NEET UG 2024 exam is scheduled to take place on May 5 for 3 hours and 20 minutes, from 2 pm to 5:20 pm. Reports indicate that more than 21 lakh applicants have already enrolled for NEET UG 2024.

To apply for NEET UG 2024:
Step 1: Visit exams.nta.ac.in, the official NTA NEET registration website.
Step 2: Navigate to the homepage and select the NEET UG 2024 registration link.
Step 3: Complete the online form to sign up for yourself.
Step 4: After completing the form, log in to your account.
Step 5: Complete the application and submit the required fees.
Step 6: Once the form is submitted, download the NEET UG 2024 application form for future reference.

The application fee for NEET UG varies based on the category:

General/NRI category: Rs 1700
General-EWS/OBC-NCL category: Rs 1600
Third gender, PwBD, SC, or ST category: Rs 1000

NTA states that dates for the NEET UG 2024 application correction window, advance city intimation slip, hall tickets, and result declaration will be posted on the official NEET UG website soon. Additionally, candidates are advised to note that this is a one-time chance, as there will be no further opportunities to apply for NEET UG 2024.
