The National Medical Commission (NMC) has announced the schedule for the state-level NEET UG counselling 2024. The counselling process is divided between state counselling committees, which will fill approximately 85% of the available seats, and the MCC, which will handle the remaining 15% under the All-India Quota (AIQ).

Counselling Updates by State:

• Karnataka: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has closed the NEET UG 2024 registration. The verification schedule will be announced soon.
• Punjab: Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, is handling Punjab’s NEET UG counselling. The application deadline is today, August 15, 2024, with fee payments allowed until August 16.
• Uttar Pradesh: The Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET) will start the registration on August 20, with the merit list and choice-filling starting on August 24.

Step-by-Step NEET UG 2024 Counselling Process:

1. Registration and Fee Payment: Candidates must register on the MCC website and pay a non-refundable fee.
2. Choice Selection and Locking: After registration, candidates can select and lock their preferred universities and medical courses.
3. Seat Allotment: The authorities will process the choices and announce the seat allotment results on the MCC website.
4. Document Upload and Verification: Selected candidates must upload the required documents and visit the designated medical or dental college for verification.
5. Reporting and Further Rounds: Candidates allotted seats in round one may choose to upgrade to round two by physically reporting to the institution with original documents.

Special Note:

Candidates seeking admission to the BSc Nursing course at Armed Forces Medical Service Hospitals under Military Nursing Services (MNS) will also be considered based on their NEET UG 2024 scores.
