The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has initiated the online registration process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Super Specialty (NEET SS) 2023. Interested candidates can apply for the NEET SS 2023 exam by visiting the official website at nbe.edu.in on or before August 16. As per the schedule, the admit card for the NEET SS 2023 exam will be issued on September 4. The examination is scheduled to take place on September 9 and 10, and the results will be declared by September 30.

However, students from Kashmir preparing for the NEET SS are facing concerns as the NBEMS has not established any exam centers within the Valley, as reported by The Greater Kashmir. With the exam approaching in September, students would be required to travel to other states or Jammu to appear for the exam. This has led to significant inconvenience for students, as they have to bear the financial burden of flight tickets and hotel accommodations. The rising travel costs, combined with the uncertainty caused by weather-related closures of the Jammu-Srinagar national route, have worsened the situation for NEET SS aspirants in Kashmir.

In response to the situation, students are urging the Jammu and Kashmir administration to intervene and address the issue with the relevant authorities. They are seeking equal opportunities for Valley students to pursue their medical aspirations and hope that the administration, led by LG Manoj Sinha, will take action to ensure the establishment of enough NEET-SS exam centers throughout the Valley.
