National Award To Teachers 2023 Nominations Invited from ITIs, Polytechnic Institutes

Attention Teachers of Higher Education! The Ministry of Education is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the prestigious National Award to Teachers 2023. This esteemed award recognizes the outstanding contributions of teachers in the field of higher education. Don't miss this opportunity to be acknowledged for your hard work and dedication!
To be considered for this esteemed award, nominations must be submitted by July 30, 2023, through the official portal at nat.aicte-india.org. Please note that the nomination process should be initiated by the head of your institution.
In an effort to recognize the diverse areas of expertise within the teaching profession, the Ministry of Education has introduced a new category of awards specifically for teachers of Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and polytechnic institutions.
The National Award to Teachers 2023 has been divided into two main categories:
Category 1: Teachers of ITIs and polytechnic institutes
Category 2: Teachers of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs)
Category 2 is further subdivided into three sub-categories:
Sub-category 1: Engineering and technology, architecture, and other related fields.
Sub-category 2: Pure sciences including mathematics, physical sciences, biological sciences, chemical sciences, medicine, pharmacy, and others.
Sub-category 3: Arts and social sciences, humanities, languages, legal studies, commerce, management, and others.
To be eligible for the award, higher education teachers must meet the following criteria:
Experience: Teachers should be regular faculty members with a minimum of five years of full-time teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate level. Please note that Vice-Chancellors, directors, or principals (whether regular or officiating) are not eligible for this award.
Age: Nominees should not be above 55 years of age as of the last date of application.
There will be a total of 25 awards dedicated to ITI and diploma teachers, while an equal number of 25 awards will be presented to teachers from colleges and universities. Recipients of the award will be honored with a prestigious medal, certificate, and a cash prize of Rs 50,000.
