Mumbai University Releases Revised Dates For Exams Postponed Due to Heavy Rain
Due to heavy rainfall on July 24, the University was compelled to postpone 15 examinations. The January session exams for first and second-year students at the Institute of Distance and Open Learning were also affected. Consequently, the University of Mumbai has recently released a revised schedule for the postponed exams. The remaining papers for various courses will now be held on August 5.
In an official notice, the University informed candidates pursuing second-year Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Legislative Law (BBA LLB) in Semesters 3 and 4 that their pending exams will be conducted on August 8. On the other hand, the exams for Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd) and Master in Physical Education (MPEd), initially scheduled for July 27, were rescheduled to August 1.
Students of Semester 1 in Master of Arts (MA), Master of Science (MSc), and MSc (Research) are required to appear for their pending examinations on August 11. Mumbai University also communicated the revised dates to the director of the Institute of Distance and Open Learning, heads of various university departments, principals of associated colleges, and co-coordinators of all sub-centres.
On July 27, in light of the "red alert" issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) for the city, the University of Mumbai declared a holiday for its associated colleges. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) followed suit and declared a holiday for all government and private institutions and colleges.
