In light of the Kanwar Yatra, all government and private educational institutions in Uttar Pradesh will be closed from July 8 to 16, according to district administration officials. The Kanwar Yatra, which began on Tuesday, will conclude on August 15, with the offering of holy Ganga water to Lord Shiva. Consequently, schools and colleges in several districts of Uttar Pradesh have been shut down. In Muzaffarnagar district, all schools and colleges will remain closed for a duration of eight days, from July 8 to July 16, 2023.
Similarly, due to the Kanwar Yatra, schools in Meerut have been ordered to be closed from July 10. This closure affects all schools, degree colleges, and coaching centers, which will remain shut from July 10 to July 17. Additionally, instructions have been issued to close schools in Baghpat and Saharanpur. Similarly, traffic on the Delhi-Dehradun, Rishikesh, and Haridwar highways will be diverted to alternate routes.
