The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has released the official timetable for the Prosecuting Officer (PO) Main examination 2022, which will be held from May 31 to June 15. The schedule can be downloaded from the official website of JKPSC at jkpsc.nic.in by candidates who registered for the recruitment exam. The exam will be conducted from 10 am to 1 pm, and the venue(s) of the examination will be notified separately. A total of 821 applicants have been declared eligible to appear for the PO Main exam, which aims to fill up 120 prosecuting officer vacancies.

The recruitment drive has categorized the vacancies as follows: General/Open Merit Category - 61, Scheduled Caste (SC) - 10, Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 12, Other Social Caste (OSC) - 5, Actual Line of Control (ALC)/ International Border (IB) ALC/IB - 4, Resident of Backward Area (RBA) - 12, Pahari speaking people (PSP) - 5, and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) - 11.

The PO Main Exam schedule for 2023 is as follows: Qualifying Paper – English on May 31 (Wednesday), Paper I – Legal drafting and pleading on June 2 (Friday), Paper II – Constitutional Law on June 5 (Monday), Paper III – Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 on June 7 (Wednesday), Paper IV – Indian Penal Code, 1860 on June 9 (Friday), Paper V – Indian Evidence Act, 1872 on June 12 (Monday), Paper VI – Special Laws I on June 14 (Wednesday), and Paper VII – Special Laws II on June 15 (Thursday).
