JKCET 2023 registration deadline extended till April 30, apply at jkbopee.gov.in
The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination (JKBOPEE) has announced an extension of the registration deadline for the Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET) 2023. The original registration deadline was April 24, but candidates can now apply until April 30 by visiting the official website at jkbopee.gov.in. Candidates must pay a fee of Rs 1,000 when registering for JKCET 2023.
The official notice states that the deadline extension applies to candidates interested in admission to Bachelor of Engineering & Technology Courses-2023 in Government/Private Colleges/Institutions of UT of J&K/ UT of Ladakh. Candidates must ensure they only submit one JKCET 2023 application form, as submitting multiple forms will result in disqualification.
To be eligible to apply for JKCET 2023, students must have passed or cleared their class 12 exam from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) with at least 45% marks. There is no upper age limit for registering. However, students currently appearing for their intermediate exams can also apply but must produce original mark sheets during the JKCET 2023 result or counselling process.
To apply for JKCET 2023 candidates must follow these
- steps: log on to the official website of JKBOPEE,
- create a new registration on the portal,
- proceed with the application form as instructed,
- pay the essential application fee,
- upload all the mandatory documents, and submit the JKCET form.
- They must keep a print out of the form for future reference.
The Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test (CET) will be held on May 28, according to the official schedule. It will be a three-hour test conducted in objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The syllabus of the entrance exam is based on the courses of study and prospectuses of Class 12. The question paper will be divided into three sections — physics, chemistry, and mathematics — carrying 60 marks each.
