JEE Main 2024 Session 1 in February? NTA to Release Schedule Soon

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to release the examination calendar for the year 2024 in the near future. Students can conveniently access this exam schedule on the official website, nta.ac.in, where the NTA has meticulously compiled it. The calendar will notably disclose the planned dates for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) of the upcoming year, along with various other competitive exam dates. JEE Main, a prominent national-level engineering entrance test administered twice a year by NTA, is a crucial component of this calendar. The first session of JEE Main 2024 is anticipated to take place in February of the following year.

The JEE Main assessment consists of two papers, both of which hold considerable significance in determining a candidate's eligibility for Undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E/B.Tech.) at prestigious institutions like NITs, IIITs, Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), as well as Institutions/Universities endorsed by participating State Governments. Moreover, excelling in JEE Main is pivotal for advancing to the JEE (Advanced), a vital prerequisite for securing admission to IITs. Paper 2 of JEE Main pertains to entrance into the B. Arch and B. Planning programs across the nation.

In the preceding year, 2023, candidates were given the relief of not being obliged to appear in both sessions. Instead, those who opted to participate in multiple sessions had their highest JEE Main-2023 NTA scores considered for the formulation of Merit Lists and Rankings. Notably, the JEE Main 2023 session 2 results witnessed 43 applicants achieving a perfect score of 100 percentile. Among them, Singaraju Venkat Koundinya from Telangana emerged as the leader, securing the highest number of 100 percentile scores. Other students who achieved the perfect score include Kallakuri Sainadh Srimanth, Ishan Khandelwal, Deshank Pratap Singh, and Nipun Goel.

The exam calendar will also encompass pivotal dates for exams such as CUET 2024, NEET UG, and a variety of other national-level entrance examinations. Notably, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) for this year was held on May 7. The Common University Entrance Test, or CUET 2023, spanned from May 21 to May 31, and subsequently from June 1 to June 7. Candidates are strongly advised to monitor the official NTA website, where timely updates for the 2024 exam calendar will be provided. This comprehensive calendar is designed to serve as a valuable guide for students in their planning and preparation.
