JEE Main 2024: List of Unfair Activities That Can Debar Candidates From Appearing in Exam
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the JEE Main 2024 from January 24 to February 1, 2024. The exam will be held in 13 languages. Candidates can download their hall tickets/admit cards three days before the exam. However, the NTA has listed certain practices that may result in the cancellation of the JEE Main for candidates engaging in unfair practices.

Unfair Practices in JEE Main 2024 Exam:

Possession of Prohibited Items: Candidates found in possession of prohibited items or articles in the exam hall will be treated unfairly.

Impersonation: Using someone else to write the exam or prepare material for copying is considered an unfair practice.

Breaking Exam Guidelines: Engaging in activities that violate examination guidelines or instructions given by NTA.

Helping Others in Malpractices: Offering or accepting assistance, directly or indirectly, to help other candidates commit malpractices.

Communication During Exam: Attempting to contact or communicate with anyone who is not an examination staff member during the exam is prohibited.

Threatening Officials or Candidates: Any form of threat towards officials or candidates is considered an unfair practice.

Inappropriate Methods: Use of inappropriate methods during the exam is strictly prohibited.

Manipulation of Documents: Manipulating or fabricating online documents such as rank letters, admit cards, or self-declarations is illegal.

Forced Entry/Exit: Forced entry or exit from the exam hall is not allowed.

Use of Electronic Devices: Use or attempted use of any electronic device after entering the examination centre is considered an unfair practice.

Incorrect/Morphed Photographs/Signatures: Affixing or uploading incorrect/morphed photographs or signatures on the application form/admit card/proforma is strictly prohibited.
Consequences of Unfair Means:
- Candidates caught using unfair means will be charged under the Unfair Means Case (UFM).
- The candidate may be barred from appearing again for three years and may face criminal charges.
- Results of candidates using unfair means will be cancelled, and they will not be declared.
