JEE Main 2024 Dates Reshuffled! Session 2 Delayed to Avoid CBSE Clash
In response to the clash between the exam dates of Session 2 of JEE Main 2024 and the CBSE Class 12 board exams, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to make changes to the engineering entrance exam schedule. Revised Exam Dates:
- Session 1 of JEE Main 2024: January 24 to February 1.
- CBSE 12th Examinations: Starting on February 15 and concluding on April 2.
- The last day exam will be on April 2, focusing on subjects such as Informatics Practice, Computer Science, and Information Technology.
- Session 2 of JEE Main 2024: Initially scheduled between April 1 to April 15.
- Revised Dates: Post April 3.
Reason for Revision: The clash in dates prompted the NTA to reconsider the schedule, especially considering the CBSE Class 12 Mathematics paper on February 2. The Bihar Board 12th exam is set to start on February 1, ending on February 12. Students facing potential difficulties, particularly those with JEE Main exam centers in different cities, now have the option to appear in Session 2 of JEE Main 2024.
CBSE Request and NTA Response: CBSE reportedly requested the NTA to alter the JEE Main Session 2 exam dates. Subsequently, NTA Director General Subodh Singh announced the rescheduling of the second session of JEE Main to avoid any conflicts.
JEE Main 2024 Session 1 Exam City Intimation Slips: NTA has also announced the release of JEE Main 2024 Session 1 exam city intimation slips for BArch and BPlanning exams. Candidates who successfully submitted their JEE Main application forms can now access their respective exam city slips by logging into the official portal at jeemain.nta.ac.in.
