JEE Advanced AIR 3 Rishi Kalra Aspires To Work In Research, Set Up His Own Startup

The Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Guwahati, announced the results of the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced 2023 on June 18. Rishi Kalra, hailing from Land Craft Society Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, achieved an impressive All India Rank 3 in the JEE Advanced for the year 2023. Rishi, a student at DPSG Meerut Road School, dedicated 10-12 hours per day to prepare for the JEE Advanced and remained optimistic based on his outstanding performance in the JEE Main.
Expressing his aspirations, Rishi shared his desire to pursue research and establish his own startup. His parents, both medical professionals, contributed to his journey. His mother specializes in child care, while his father is an anesthetist specialist. Notably, Ghaziabad had two students among the top 10 rankers in JEE Advanced 2023. Apart from Rishi, Malay Kedia secured AIR 8. Malay had previously achieved All India Rank 4 in the general category of the JEE Main 2023 with a perfect score of 100 out of 100, similar to Rishi's remarkable achievement.
The total number of candidates who appeared for IIT-JEE Advanced 2023 was 1,80,372, out of which 43,773 qualified. Among the qualified candidates, 7,509 were female students, and 36,204 were male students. According to the results released by IIT-Guwahati, 125 international applicants enrolled for the JEE Advanced 2023, with 108 appearing for the exam and 13 successfully qualifying.
The Hyderabad zone dominated the JEE Advanced 2023 results, both in terms of qualified candidates and test-takers. Vavilala Chidvilas Reddy from the IIT Hyderabad zone secured the first rank with an impressive score of 341 out of 360 in the Common Rank List (CRL). Among female candidates, Nayakanti Naga Bhavya Sree from the same zone achieved the highest rank, securing AIR 56 with a score of 298 out of 360 marks.
