Jaisalmer School Bus Accident: Bus Overturns, Injure 30 Children & Teacher Died

A devastating incident occurred in Rajasthan's Jaisalmer district on Wednesday, resulting in the death of one individual and injuries to approximately 30 schoolchildren. According to the police, the incident took place near Pokhran town when a bus transporting the students to their school overturned unexpectedly.
Assistant Sub Inspector Kailash Chand of Sankra police station in Jaisalmer explained that the driver lost control of the vehicle, leading to the unfortunate overturning. The injured students were promptly transported to a hospital in Jodhpur, while some were admitted to a nearby medical facility. Concerned parents took the initiative to bring their children to private hospitals for immediate care. The students involved in the accident were between the ages of 10 and 15.
Tragically, the bus driver also sustained injuries during the incident. Furthermore, Jodhpur Collector Himanshu Gupta reported that 11 schoolchildren who were brought to Jodhpur for treatment from Jaisalmer were fortunately deemed to be out of danger. However, one staff member, identified as Vikram Singh, tragically succumbed to his injuries.
