IIT JAM 2024 Counseling Registration Starts: Important Dates and Process

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, has initiated the online counselling process for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (IIT JAM) 2024. This article provides essential information regarding the counselling process, application procedure, schedule, and seat booking details for aspiring candidates.

IIT JAM 2024 Counselling Application Process:

• Eligibility: Candidates who have scored equal to or higher than the JAM 2024 cut-off marks for their respective category are eligible to apply.
• Application Form: Applicants can access the IIT JAM 2024 counselling application form on the official website of IIT Madras at jam.iitm.ac.in.
• Application Deadline: The last date to submit the counselling form is April 24, 2024.
• Three Alternatives:
  1. Accept and Freeze: Reserved seats by paying the seat booking fees after accepting the allocated option.
  2. Accept and Upgrade: Agree to the allotted option but keep a lookout for better opportunities in subsequent rounds.
  3. Reject and Quit: Deny the allotted option and withdraw from the list.

Seat Booking Fee:

• General/OBC: Rs. 10,000
• PH/SC/ST: Rs. 5,000
