IIIT Naya Raipur: Check Out the List of BTech, MTech and PhD Courses Offered

The International Institute of Information Technology, Naya Raipur, provides a range of courses including BTech, MTech, and PhD programs in various disciplines. Recently, one of the BTech students, Rashi Bagga, secured an impressive job package of Rs 85 lakh per annum, continuing the institute's streak of achieving a 100 percent placement record for the fifth consecutive year.
The institute offers B.Tech courses in three specializations, each lasting four years:
- Computer Science and Engineering
- Electronics and Communication Engineering
- Data Science and Artificial Intelligence
To be eligible for admission to these courses, students must clear their 10+2 grade with a minimum of 50 percent marks, appear for the JEE Mains entrance examination, and secure a seat through the JOSAA counseling rounds. However, candidates belonging to Chhattisgarh state can skip the JEE Mains examination and gain admission based on their Class 12 marks.
In addition, the institute provides M.Tech programs in four specializations:
- Communication and Signal Processing
- Data Science and Artificial Intelligence
- Information Security
- VLSI and Embedded Systems
Admission to the M.Tech programs is based on the candidate's GATE score and marks obtained in their undergraduate degree. Depending on the specialization, specific eligibility criteria apply. For instance, candidates pursuing Communication and Signal Processing or VLSI and Embedded Systems must have a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or Equivalent or M.Sc. (Electronics) or Graduate (AMIETE) from the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, along with a valid GATE score in EC/EE/IN. For Data Science and Artificial Intelligence and Information Security, a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent in the relevant field or an M.Sc. (Computer Science/Information Technology) or Graduate (AMIETE) from the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) in Computer Science & Engineering or MCA from a recognized Institution, with a valid GATE score in CS or MA is required.
Regarding Ph.D. admissions, candidates should hold a B.Tech and M.Tech degree or any equivalent qualification and secure valid qualifying marks in GATE/NET-UGC/CSIR-NET, etc. Additionally, candidates must appear for specific examinations based on their relevant discipline:
- Ph.D. (Engineering): GATE/UGC-NET/CSIR-NET
- Ph.D. (Science, Management): GATE/UGC-NET/CSIR-NET/NBHM
- Ph.D. (HSS - Humanities and Social Sciences): UGC-NET/CSIR-NET
It is important to note that the selection committees may set higher criteria than the minimum qualifications mentioned above.
