The School of Foreign Languages at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has introduced a Master’s Degree course in the Spanish language. This program aims to provide students with comprehensive insights into Spanish culture, literature, and history, including practical modules such as translation studies, interpretation, and linguistics. The duration of the Master's degree program is a minimum of two years and a maximum of four years, with the option for students to exit after completing the first year. Study materials will be available in both digital and print formats, and the course fee is Rs 10,700.
Eligibility Criteria for IGNOU’s Spanish Master’s Program:
Prospective students must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Completed a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish from a recognized university, OR
- Graduation degree in any discipline, along with proficiency in Spanish at the B-1 level (as per CFR) or possession of a Diploma in Spanish from a recognized institute.
