The Institute of Chartered Accountancy of India (ICAI) is preparing to introduce a new curriculum for CA Foundation, CA Intermediate, and CA Final levels in July, as announced by Aniket Talati, the President of ICAI. The launch will coincide with the institute's 75th anniversary, pending approval from the Centre. The new curriculum has been designed to equip CA students with global professionalism and incorporates the National Education Policy 2020, which emphasizes multidisciplinary education and credit accumulation and transfer.

This means that students can earn credits and qualifications by appearing for one or two papers. The curriculum will feature subjects such as Indian constitution, philosophy, and psychology to encourage practical application-based learning rather than rote learning. ICAI has also introduced self-paced online modules to provide flexibility in preparation for its over 7.5 lakh registered students. Additionally, the institute has integrated technology into the new curriculum and is training its registered members on emerging technologies such as data science, artificial intelligence, and blockchain. The new curriculum focuses on skill-based learning to equip commerce graduates with the right skills.
