In a groundbreaking move, the recruitment examination for constables in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), including CRPF, BSF, and CISF, will now be conducted in 13 regional languages alongside Hindi and English. This decision aims to enhance the participation of local youth in CAPFs and promote regional languages.
In a groundbreaking move, the recruitment examination for constables in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), including CRPF, BSF, and CISF, will now be conducted in 13 regional languages alongside Hindi and English. This decision aims to enhance the participation of local youth in CAPFs and promote regional languages.
Exam Details: The constable recruitment examination is scheduled to take place from February 10 to March 7, with approximately 48 lakh candidates appearing in 128 cities across India. This historic decision reflects the initiative of Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, towards fostering inclusivity and diversity in the armed forces.
Regional Languages: Candidates will now have the opportunity to take the examination in their preferred regional languages, including Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Odia, Urdu, Punjabi, Manipuri, and Konkani. This move is expected to empower candidates from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
SSC's Role: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) plays a pivotal role in conducting the constable (GD) examination, which serves as a flagship recruitment drive attracting youths from across the nation. The Ministry of Home Affairs and SSC have collaborated by signing an MoU to facilitate the examination in the 13 regional languages, besides Hindi and English.
