Haryana Board Class 10 Compartment Exam To Begin From August 16

The Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) has released the updated schedule for the Class 10 compartment exams of 2023. These exams are rescheduled due to the Nuh violence and will now take place from August 16 to August 18. The English paper will be held on August 16, while the exams for computer science and agriculture are scheduled for August 18. The exam timings vary, with some taking place from 2 pm to 5 pm and others from 2 pm to 4:30 pm.

Candidates must carry a valid admit card with a scanned photo to the exam venue. It's important to note that mobile phones and calculators are strictly prohibited during the exams. Additionally, students with disabilities will be provided an extra 20 minutes per hour.

Originally, the exams were slated for August 1 and August 2, but due to the unfortunate violence in Nuh, the Chairman VP Yadav and Secretary Krishna Kumar of the board decided to postpone them. The official statement conveyed that the Secondary (Educational) and D.El.Ed (1st and 2nd year) examinations scheduled for July 2023 have been deferred in the Nuh district of Haryana due to a violent incident. The new dates for these exams will be announced soon.

This delay was prompted by a Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) protest that escalated into racial tensions, resulting in multiple casualties and injuries, including the death of two house guards. As a consequence, Internet services have been suspended, and Section 144 has been imposed in Nuh and Gurugram.
