Govt School Principal in Punjab's Mohali Arrested by Vigilance Bureau for Producing 'fake' Degree to Get Job

Once again, a government school principal stationed in Mohali has been apprehended by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau on charges of securing her job and promotion through the submission of a counterfeit education degree. Paramjit Kaur held the position of principal at the Government Senior Secondary School in Mohali, as disclosed by a bureau spokesperson.
The investigation revealed that Kaur presented an M.Com degree certificate supposedly issued by Magadh University in Bihar's Gaya to secure the government job. However, the degree's authenticity was not verified, leading to the initiation of a vigilance inquiry against her.
Subsequently, the Punjab Vigilance Bureau determined that the provided degree was indeed fake. As a result, a case was filed against Kaur for allegedly producing a counterfeit degree certificate to obtain her job and promotion. The bureau has taken her into custody following her arrest.
